A BEAUTIFUL SILENCE Waging War On Myself

For many of us, we have experienced a time when we have felt like we are waging war on ourselves in some way or another.
For 22-year-old James Faccio, the one and only member of A Beautiful Silence, “Waging War On Myself” is the title of his latest CD. Faccio hails from the small town of Marquette located in one of the northern most points of Michigan.
A Beautiful Silence began in 2004 as a band with multiple members. Due to commitment issues, Faccio decided to become a “one man show,” playing guitar, piano, and drums, as well as writing and recording his own music. He is making his mark as a member of the “Do It Yourself Revolution.”
“Waging War On Myself,” was a CD I was highly interested in reviewing. I had read other reviews praising its existence, and wanted to see for myself what all the hype was about. As it turned out, it was not exactly what I was expecting.
The CD opens with a song called “3:30 of A.D.D” which I found very strange. It set the stage for how I would react to the rest of the CD.
The songs showcase an array of musical influences from electronic pop to acoustic rock. I can see the potential the songs “Beautiful Girl” and “You Put The Stars To Shame” have to be stuck in anyone’s head for weeks. However, my personal favourite was “Girlfriend On Facebook.” If nothing else this song is awesome for it’s hilarity factor.
“She’s my girlfriend on Facebook. It’s getting pretty serious.”
AMAZING!
It goes without saying that Faccio deserves credit and appreciation for the fact that he is the only person featured playing any instrument heard on this CD. It showcases just how talented he is.
The final verdict? Hmmm ... well ... that was ... different.
“Waging War On Myself” is definitely worth a listen if you are a fan of trying new things.
