FAITHDOWN UPDATE

Faithdown is far from a new inductee into the Soundline family, but I thought a re-introduction was in order. In their valiant pursuit of the proverbial brass ring, this foursome has come a long way in their quest for greatness. Their efforts have not come without years of hard work, experience or dedication but it certainly has paid off for the fans. What they have become is a cohesive group of extremely talented musicians that meld together better than they probably even hoped.
They each come to the group with years of experience and somewhat diverse musical backgrounds. With a mix of acid jazz and even pop as their credentials, they've come to be a hard rockin' group of fierce musicians. Friday's show was a clear indication of this. With new songs in tow and their determination and drive in full swing, they had the crowd mesmerized and loving every minute of their show. As I looked around at the crowd, every eye was peeled on the band and I for one couldn't be happier for the guys. It was on the third floor of Reilly's on Yonge Street. I don't even know what it was about them, but they just sounded better and I really loved their new tunes. Both Paolo and Anthony have told me how much they've been working on their new stuff and really buckling down and I would have never thought it could be such a great pay off until I heard them perform.
Well thought out lyrics, tremendous stage presence and camaraderie has helped to bring Faithdown this far down their path. Mike, Nick, Anthony and Paolo have created a solid group that I honestly believe will be around for years to come. They have been very busy in the studio working on their new works of art and have been rehearsing incessantly. I honestly haven't heard them sound as good as they did on Friday. They've arrived!!!
Hopefully you'll check them out at www.faithdown.com to get the low down on the boys and their upcoming gigs so you can get out to see what it is I am ranting about.
