JULIAN PETTI - REMEMBER WHERE YOU ARE

If you truly know how to appreciate acoustic music, I highly recommend Julian Petti's "Remember Where You Are". For a man and his guitar, this album is definitely a piece of work!

From the very beginning, the songs ooze of raw, true talent, and never stop. Maybe it's helped that I've seen this man live. Seen him with his guitar, on a stool in front of a microphone, reaching out to a university crowd much too small for the level of talent portrayed, who were more interested in their beer and food than the show of genuinely passionate music right in front of their faces.

Over the past couple of years I've grown to appreciate this style of music, for the way it allows you to see into the artist's soul. It's a way that extra instruments, technology and over-the-top, heavy vocals have been able to distort.

Julian Petti brings his music back to its original core and belts it out in a way I haven't heard in a long time. And it's long overdue. I'm hoping that he is able to generate more exposure for himself and create a hype that helps him pursue his wildest dreams.

"Remember Where You Are" is a collection of songs with deep, coarse lyrics and the purest form of guitar available.

With a voice full of power and passion, Petti poses a lot of personal questions and offers insight into an artists' mind and life.

"I've drowned a thousand times, waiting for the rainbow of tomorrow to come."

In all honesty, I could sit here and tell you about each song on Julian's "Remember Where You Are", but then I'd be repeating myself many times over. Not because each track is the same, but because each track tells a different story, in the same pure and honest style.

I'm in awe.

"Julian Petti’s sound is a powerful dose of soul and conviction" (myspace.com/julianpettimusic) ... In my opinion, no truer words could be said.

Every track on this CD leaves me feeling like I've caught a glimpse into the dark, myserious life of the young singer. I'm struck by them in a way that makes me wonder what I've just been told, yet craving more.

"Can I shake you from your spell? I can bend you and shape you."

Do yourself a favour and check him out live. I can guarantee that you will NOT be disappointed!
