SUNSHINE IS NOT JUST FOR VITAMINS ANYMORE

When it comes to being outdoors, I’m all over it. Be it hiking, camping, or just having an ice cold one on a hot and sweaty day or night.

Throw in some music, and it’s bliss.

I’ve been to the Event In The Tent, which is held in St. Catharines, ON. I went a few years back when Three Days Grace rocked the tent. It was absolutely one of my favorite live shows by any band. The even had a VIP section. Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of the few lucky fans who got to sit on the black chairs set up inside a roped off section put off into to the side of the main viewing area. But I was completely content in the front row belting out every tune.

I even met a few new friends that night, and we continued the party onto the streets of downtown. Somewhere I misplaced my husband, and my ID.

The next day, I had the most well deserved hangover.

For the last two summers I have spent my time in Edmonton, AB. If you have ever had the pleasure of attending Edfest, you will know that it is the absolute party of parties when it comes to outdoor venues. Great music, such as Thornley and The Trews. Not to mention the vast beer garden which is located directly beside the best view.

I now know when to visit Mom, during the weeks that Edfest is being held.

I would more likely go to an outdoor concert before trapping myself into an over packed arena that smells like smoke, sweat, and stale beer. I love nature. That, and great music combined, is beyond a wonderful day.

I have since become a resident of a small town in Niagara, and this year’s event is the Friendship Festival. I have never had the chance to attend, until now.

I’m so excited to have live Canadian bands play in my backyard.
